an NDA is being prepared. Future development areas will focus on the
cardiovascular system.
- Acetyl-L-carnitine (ST 200)
This compound has been developed to treat both Alzheimer's disease and
peripheral diabetic neuropathy, where it has completed phase III trials.
Future areas of development will continue to revolve around cognition and
peripheral neuropathy of different origins.
- Gimatecan (ST 1481)
A camptothecin derivative, Gimatecan is in phase I-II trials for malignant
glioma and other solid tumors.
